NJ Rails provides transit schedules, station search, favorite routes, train details, rail alerts, and related schedule data for supported transit agencies.

Information We Store On Your Device

The app may store your selected stations, favorite routes, favorite train numbers, recent schedule requests, downloaded schedule data, and the last schedule-data update time locally on your device. This data is used to make the app faster and to keep your common trips available. We do not operate a user account system for this app.

Information We Download

The app checks this GitHub Pages site for schedule-data manifests and schedule packs. GitHub may receive standard web request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and request time when your device downloads those files.

Live Transit Data And Alerts

When you use live departures, rail alerts, or related live-train features, the app may request information from transit-agency services such as supported transit agencies. Those services may receive standard network request information. We do not add your name, email address, or app account identifier to those requests.

Advertising

The app may display ads through Google AdMob or similar advertising providers. Advertising providers may collect or receive device identifiers, approximate location inferred from network information, ad interaction data, diagnostics, and other data described in their own privacy policies. You can review Google's advertising privacy information at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Location

The app does not require precise device location to look up schedules. If a future version asks for location permission, it will be used for transit features such as nearby stations only after Android shows the permission prompt.

Crash Reports And Diagnostics

App stores, Android system services, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting tools may provide diagnostics such as device model, OS version, app version, logs, performance information, and crash details. We use diagnostics to fix defects and improve app reliability.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, including GitHub Pages for schedule downloads, transit-agency endpoints for live information, Google Play services, and advertising providers when ads are enabled.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy when app features or service providers change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
